My family and I are by no means experts, but we are definitely enthusiasts and have done about 35 rooms. We also learned that this was the groups first time doing an escape room. When we got there, we learned that a bachelor party of 5 had booked to do the room with us. My family and I drove down to Silver Spring from Brunswick to do the Outbreak room.
We have had a positive experience here before, so I don’t think this is an indictment on the company, but rather, a lack of consistency of company values and laziness and poor communication on part of the two workers that day. It was made worse by the workers not communicating to us what was going on or that we had to work with another group in general. We were told policy was to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand, and the other group arriving late caused us to start 20 minutes late. In addition, prior to the game, the group we additionally worked with, came in about 7 minutes before the registered time. With only 2 steps left, those 3-4 minutes could have been key to our winning or losing. He fixed rh issue but did not give back time or even apologize for his error.
A couple minutes later and asked him to verify that aspect was working to which he realized it was malfunctioning. We notified one of the workers of this and he came in and said we were mistaken and it was working. With only a few steps let and little time remaining, a part of the escape room malfunctioned.
